The Woodsman with StrangeMen & Co.

There’s this company StrangeMen & Co.  Have you heard of them?  You will very soon – no doubt about that.  They produce incredible plays, puppet pieces, and theatrical experiences unlike any I’ve ever seen.  It’s been an incredible pleasure working with them and being near them over the last few years.

Their current play On the Head of a Pin has been picked up by 59E59!  Yes that’s right.  This company – who most often performs in parks and shop windows – is moving Off-Broadway.  Read more about this play and project here.

Being the StrangeMen they are, they’ve decided to throw a rocking party and launch a play to fundraise on Jan. 18th & 19th.  The talented puppet master James Ortiz invited me to help adapt a selection from L. Frank Baum’s The Wonderful Wizard of Oz into a puppet-musical experience.  This play became The Woodsman and it features the tin man, his love, and OZ.  Come join us, the puppets, and help FUNdraise for 59E59!
